If you don’t have the courage or intelligence to do what you promise it’s better to just leave it undone and put the thread in the lock yes don’t think it’s just that simple. When you are a admin/moderator you can be expected to be a little tactful in your words if you promise things that your knowledge is not enough then yes, you are entitled to give reasons why you do so because this community is part of a larger organization where they are word-based and obliged to give feedback to their criticism. I'm sorry to burst your bubble but on the contrary, you are completely mistaken. lol Stay safe mates and have a good one everybody. I'm sure there will be those who don't like my opinion, but you all will be all right. I believe you all acted responsibly and reasonably given the circumstances of the situation. I personally would have done the same in your shoes until such a time I actually had available to vette the mod in question. I completely concur with the assessment of the situation. For people to think otherwise is naive and presumptuous at best. The explanation of not having the time to devote in vetting it makes completely and total sense to me and the actions of removal leaning towards safety and security is a logical course of action.Īlso I want to add that your are completely correct in saying your not responsible for anything else past your own web site content.
I also understand what it is like to run and host large mod sites which this doesn't strike me as to different really. I'm sure it would have put some peoples minds at ease.
